Cool Band Jazz is a unique blend of musician talent. CB Jazz, as we know it today, has been playing "Big Band Swing" for many years, several members played in bands in California, Utah, Idaho, and even Chicago. They all tell similar stories of playing in school and community bands when they were young. This love of music and playing band intruments has led to the creation of CB jazz or Cool Band Jazz.
CB Jazz is Dedicated to preserving the community band movement, especially in the big band era. It started in the 1930's and even today many composers are writing great music for schools, community, and professional big bands. Some members of CB Jazz are professional band directors and others are some of Utah's finest musicians.

CB Jazz includes a diverse assortment of musicians that played in bands in the 40's, to young members still attending college. This love of music continues to be a driving force in playing and performing with CB Jazz. Each member feels a sense of pride and achievement in performing and giving back to the communities in which they reside.
